Premium Nippon Paint S500 - Heat Resistant Primer

1. Product Information:

Nippon Paint S500 HEAT RESISTING PRIMER is a silicone-based oil paint with anti-corrosion compounds, such as zinc powder. It can withstand temperatures up to 450°C.

Nippon Paint S500 HEAT RESISTING PRIMER provides excellent protection for exhaust pipes, heaters, boilers, chimneys, and other heat-resistant equipment.

2. Applying Instruction:

Surface Preparation:

Surface preparation must be clean and free of rust, oil, grease, or other impurities. For best results, blast the surface according to Swedish standard ST 2.5. Note that this standard must be maintained until painting is carried out. If the steel surface changes color or rust appears, the surface must be re-blasted.

Recommended Number of Layers:

1 coat

3. Recommended Thickness:

20 microns for dry film
41 microns for wet film

4. Theoretical Coverage:

24.4 m2/liter (thickness for dry layer: 20 microns)

5. Construction Technique:

Brush, roller, or airless spray gun

6. Spraying Instruction:

Spray with gas
Supply pressure (kg/cm2): 3-4
Nozzle size at 600 angles: 1.3 mm

7. Diluting Process:

Brush & roller: up to 10%

Airless spray: up to 20% (18 – 20 seconds by measuring cup NK2)

Sedimentation may occur, so there is a need of stirring well before using
