Working principle of Swan air compressor

1-stage 1-way air compressor:

• The piston reciprocates thanks to the connecting rod and crank mechanism. When the piston moves to the right, the volume (V) gradually increases, pressure (P) decreases, and the intake valve opens, allowing outside air to enter the cylinder for the intake process.
• When the piston moves to the left, the air in the cylinder is compressed, pressure (P) gradually increases, the intake valve closes, and when the pressure (P) exceeds the spring tension, the exhaust valve automatically opens, allowing compressed air to pass through the exhaust valve and into the compressed air tank.
• This process is repeated to supply compressed air.

2-stage 1-way air compressor:

• When the piston goes down, the volume above the piston increases, pressure (P) decreases, and intake valve No. 7 opens, allowing air to be charged above the piston. At the same time, the volume under the piston decreases, pressure (P) increases, and exhaust valve No. 8 opens, allowing gas to flow through the pipeline into the container.
• When the piston goes up into the space below the piston, pressure (P) decreases, intake valve No. 7 opens, air is loaded into the cylinder, and the volume (V) above the piston becomes smaller. Pressure (P) increases, exhaust valve No. 8 opens, compressing the air above the piston and pushing it into the reservoir.
• This process is repeated to supply compressed air.
