Nippon Steel Corporation, the renowned Japan-based steel manufacturers, has recently established a new company in Vietnam. This subsidiary, named "Nippon Steel Spiral Pipe Vietnam Co., Ltd." (NPV), specializes in the production of steel pipe piles and steel pipe sheet piles.

Investment License and Factory Operation

NPV has obtained an investment license (No. 492022000184) from the authority, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Industrial Zone Authority (BIZA), on 18th June 2010. The factory commenced operations in May 2011. This marks the first production base of Nippon Steel Corporation's steel for construction uses outside of Japan.

Expansion of Structural Steel Materials

East Asian countries, where Nippon Steel Corporation has been actively promoting steel-based construction materials, are now entering an era of structural steel materials. With the establishment of NPV in Vietnam, Nippon Steel Corporation aims to create a local supply capability that will further accelerate the growth in consumption of structural steel materials.
