Description:

A micropipette, also known as a pipette, is a tool commonly used in chemical, biological, and medical laboratories to accurately measure and transfer liquid samples, often used for mixing liquids.

Micropipettes are designed for different volume ranges. Many pipettes work by creating a vacuum above the liquid, and when the user releases the plunger, the liquid is drawn up to the desired volume.

Some pipettes have a fixed volume, while others can be adjusted using a volume adjustment knob or electronically. There are also micropipettes specifically designed to withstand high temperatures in autoclave chambers, such as those used for biomedical and microbiological samples.

Most micropipettes have a compact design that fits comfortably in the hand and are available in different liquid channel configurations.

Specification:

Can be fully autoclaved and withstand steam sterilization at 121°C, 1 atm for 20 minutes.
After autoclaving, pipettes should be cooled down and allowed to dry for 12 hours.
