Moisture-proof paper, also known as Poluya paper, is made from wood pulp or recycled pulp. The main component of this paper is cellulose fibers. To produce it, starch, resin, and other plant elements are initially separated from the cellulose. After this separation, the cellulose is mixed with water and transformed into fibers. When this mixture, which contains about 95% water, is placed on a sieve, most of the water drains away. By shaking the sieve, the fibers intertwine, forming a strong sheet of paper.
Widely used in various industries, including leather shoes, apparel, pharmaceuticals, and handicrafts.
In the footwear industry, Poluya moisture-proof paper serves two purposes: protecting the toe of shoes from flattening and guarding the shoe's surface against scratches.
In the garment sector, it is used to line fabric or finished clothes to protect them from moisture in the surrounding environment.
Essential in the transportation industry, particularly maritime transport, where exposure to moisture from rivers and seas during long journeys can potentially damage the enclosed goods.
